An Acrow Bridge is a prefabricated, modular bridge system made from high-strength steel. It is specifically designed for rapid assembly and can be used for temporary, emergency, or even permanent applications.
Installation is exceptionally fast, making it ideal for urgent situations. A 55-meter long bridge, for example, can be fully assembled in just 12 days. This speed is why they are a popular choice during road works, natural disasters, and facility failures.
They are extremely versatile and ideal for situations requiring speed and flexibility, such as:
-
Emergency Use: After natural disasters or sudden infrastructure failures.
-
Temporary Crossings: For detours during road works, for construction site access, or as rental units that can be moved between sites.
-
Military Operations: Creating rapid wet or dry gap crossings.
-
Permanent Solutions: Can be specially designed and treated for long-term use, such as for pedestrians or other unique applications.
Acrow Bridges are made from high-strength steel and are extremely durable. They can withstand live loads of up to 250 tons (for example, a 75-ton moving vehicle) and have a service life of 50 to 100 years with minimal maintenance, thanks to corrosion protection from hot-dip galvanizing.
Yes, the modular design allows for significant size flexibility. Widths can range from approximately 3 to 11 meters (1-3 lanes), and while a single span can be up to 100 meters, multi-span bridges can be built to virtually any length.
Yes. The bridge modules are made from steel, which is 100% reusable. Compared to concrete alternatives, their production results in several times lower CO₂ emissions, energy consumption, and water usage, making them a sustainable choice.
