What is value engineering?

Delivering innovative solutions, such as water and retention tanks, ViaCon uses value engineering to take it a step further. We work with you to optimise every project to ensure maximum functionality at the lowest possible cost. By analysing your project’s unique needs, we eliminate unnecessary expense and think about the sustainability and total cost of ownership/maintenance.

With our approach to value engineering, you get optimised costs without compromising quality. We help you rethink designs to achieve a smarter way to build, using innovative material choices, streamlined processes, and expert analysis to reduce waste, enhance sustainability, and deliver long-term performance.

In addition to the value engineering offered by the 3-in-1 design, we pride ourselves on solving problems. The versatility of steel makes our products highly adaptable and effective in addressing various challenges, including:

Built-in flow regulators and pumps

We can factory-fit flow regulators and pumps directly into our tanks, eliminating the need for downstream flow control or separate pump chambers.

Crane-positioning challenges

If the ideal crane location conflicts with the cellular attenuation system, we can redesign the layout using the 3-in-1 concept. By relocating the storage volume into a single pipe run around the site, we create space for the crane. Additionally, we can calculate whether the crane can safely operate or be positioned over our installed pipes.

Basement attenuation solutions

In densely built areas with limited space, we can design our pipes to zigzag around piles or foundations in basements, ensuring effective attenuation without disrupting structural elements.

Temporary loading calculations

Attenuation tanks are often located in high-traffic areas, such as site entrances or crane positioning zones. Using the National Highways standard for corrugated steel pipe, we provide temporary loading calculations to determine if cranes can safely operate or traffic over the tank during steel frame erection.

Our innovative solutions ensure that our systems integrate seamlessly into challenging site conditions – saving time, space, and costs.
